The Foundation was founded by Sherry Sharp for the purpose of ending Alzheimer's disease and related cognitive diseases by inspiring collaboration for research and fund raising. The Foundation is named after Mrs. Sharp's late husband, Richard L. Sharp, who died from a rare form of Alzheimer's in June 2014.
